Opening ceremony

The Opening ceremony will take place on Saturday 31st July in La Chaux-de-Fonds just after the Sprint Qualification Race.

Competitors are invited to join their fellow countrymen and march behind their flag. We hope that you will all join us in the opening ceremony of the World Masters Orienteering Championships 2010.

Competitors should meet at the finish line of Sprint Qualification at 21.00 hour. The parade will start at 21.10 hour.

“Soupe aux pois” will be distributed for free before and after the Opening ceremony in La Place du Marché in La Chaux-de-Fonds. Fireworks will follow the Opening ceremony.

WMOC 2010 Sprint Prize Giving Ceremony

The Prize Giving Ceremony will be held at 17.30 hours in the Assembly arena where first, second and third place winners of each A Final will be awarded WMOC medals. Each medallist should be seated on the appropriate chair before the beginning of the Ceremony.

Fireworks will be at 22.00 from the Lake of Neuchâtel.

WMOC 2010 Long distance Prize Giving Ceremony and Closing ceremony

The Prize Giving Ceremony will be held at 15.00 hours in the finish area where first, second and third place winners of each A Final will be awarded WMOC medals. Each medallist should be seated on the appropriate chair before the beginning of the Ceremony.

The Closing ceremony will follow the Prize Giving Ceremony.

Other social activities

During the WMOC week, a free open air festival will take place in La Chaux-de-Fonds.
