|
Guided visit of the old town of Neuchâtel, as well as the Castle and Collegiate Church (12th century). Neuchâtel will celebrate its 1,000th anniversary in 2010. The town is located on the north side of the Lake of Neuchâtel and is also the capital of the canton. Its pale ochre oppulent-looking houses seem to be carved out of a pat of butter (as Alexandre Dumas once said).
Cruise on the Lakes of Neuchâtel and Murten. Lunch on board. Lake Neuchâtel is the largest lake entirely located within Swiss borders. 4 cantons (Neuchâtel, Vaud, Fribourg, Berne) share its shores. It is linked to Lake Murten by the channel "La Broye".
Guided visit of the picturesque old town of Murten. The narrow streets with arches, the Castle and the city walls form wonderful historical whole enlivened by shops and terraces.
Transfer to Kerzers (10 min) and visit of the Papiliorama-Nocturama. Exotic plants and over 60 tropical butterflies species fly free in Papilioram; Nocturama offers a moonlight atmosphere with mysterious animals of South America tropical forests.
End of the excursion and transfer back to Neuchâtel at the beginning of the evening. (18.01.2009) |
