International Watchmaking Museum in La Chaux-de-Fonds
With more than 4’500 pieces this extraordinary museum houses one of the world’s biggest collection from the sun dial to the atomic clock. It offers a complete view on the watchmaking history in this region, considered to be the birthplace of watchmaking worldwide.


Underground Mills from Col-des-Roches
A 17th-19th –century water-powered factory in a cave which shows the ingenuity of the inhabitants of the region, trying to bring water under control.

Murten
On the way back from Bern, make a stop in the small medieval town Murten, which overhangs the lovely lake of the same name. Bern, Federal Capital
In 30 minutes you reach the Swiss capital Bern which has been declared UNESCO World Culture Heritage. If it’s rainy, no need for umbrellas - the main street is protected by arcades all along (for a distance of six km/four miles).
