The Model Events demonstrate the terrain types of the WMOC 2010 competition areas, map quality, control features and the positioning of the controls. The controls are marked with a flag. Control descriptions will be printed on the maps.

Model Event maps will be included in the participant club packages for WMOC 2010. Additional model maps will be available in the EC for CHF 5.00 (package model event 1, 2, 3).

Please use the free of charge public transport network (trains and WMOC 2010 shuttles).

No parking is possible at either of the Long Model Events. Parking and shuttles are available in and from Le Locle.

Model Event Long Distance 1 : Le Prévoux

Terrain

To test the rocky Jura : Mostly in forest, the west part is similar to LQ2 and LFI. Please strictly respect the forbidden areas. Do not enter the meadows where there are cows. The mother cows can be very dangerous. Take care when crossing roads.

Model Event Long Distance 2 : Le Communal de La Sagne

Terrain

To test the fast Jura : Here you will find a mix of forest and fields where the forest/open area boundaries are difficult to see. The east part of this terrain and vegetation are similar to LQ1. The west part is more similar to LQ2. Take care when crossing roads.

Model Event Sprint 3 : La Chaux-de-Fonds

Terrain

To go left, right, left, rigth... : ATTENTION: Traffic is unrestricted - be very careful. The map can also be used as the warm-up map before the Sprint Qualification. Stay within map limits, to avoid entering the embargoed area.
